About Project

  1. Hack off-floor finishes and screeds and cart rubble off-site.
  2. Remove all fittings, fixtures, plug covers etc and set aside for reuse.
  3. Hack off plaster to walls to height of approximately …..m and cart rubble off-site.
  4. Chip reglet 25x25mm at wall floor joints and fill with Aquagard Crystomortar to form 50mm triangular fillet.
  5. Active water to be stopped with Aquagard Crystoplug. (Contact Aquagard technical department for advice if water flow is severe)
  6. Apply multiple coats of Aquagard Dampblok Basement waterproofing slurry to walls and floor. Four coats to be applied at a rate of 2kg per m2 per coat. An extra 2 coats to be applied to wall floor joint in a band of 1m wide together with Aquagard reinforcing mesh.
  7. Lay screed to floor and plaster walls incorporating Aquagard Plaster Plus integral waterproofing compound into the mortar.

What We Did

Our team carried out a complete basement waterproofing and surface restoration process to eliminate dampness and prevent future water intrusion. We began by removing the existing floor finishes, screeds, and wall plaster, carefully clearing all rubble from the site. Fixtures, fittings, and plug covers were removed and safely stored for reuse.

Final Results

After completing the waterproofing and restoration work, the basement is now fully protected against water penetration and dampness. The newly applied waterproofing system creates a strong moisture barrier on both the walls and floor, ensuring long-term durability and protection. All active leaks were successfully sealed, and the reinforced wall–floor joints provide additional structural strength. With the new screed and replastered walls incorporating waterproofing compounds, the area is now dry, clean, and ready for safe use while significantly reducing the risk of future water damage.
